I am so frustrated! It seems like so many people just do not care about anything anymore!! This was a RESHIPMENT of eggs to a customer because UPS destroyed her first set. These went USPS, foam shipper, double boxed, and are destroyed AGAIN! I just do not know what else to do other than encase them in cement!!!!

Burgundy’s, Maroons, Plums, all the rich reds and speckles we strive for in our Marans lines. While there has been some pigment loss, the colors are still gorgeous, and off the same group of hens who’ve been laying for us all season 💪🏻

Today, while cleaning and refilling waters, I felt pecking to the back of my leg. I look down and it was one of my Mosaic Moms giving me that adorable head-tilt-side-eyed look. After a little back and forth (😉) Im pretty sure she was telling me the babies needed to get to the waterer!
The Cemanis and Mosaics have been coparenting a clutch of 5 babies. Just recently, they’ve been venturing out and teaching the babies the joys of free ranging.
Apparently, this Mom really wanted the babies to learn where the big kids drank instead of taking them back to the coop where the baby waterer was lol! We made some steps and sure enough, she called them straight to it and up they went for drinks!
Pretty amazing creatures for being on the bottom of the food chain.
