Today is my last day for treatment on my cancerous ear! After today no more medication or bandages for it! It's been a long 6 months but it's almost over! My two ears will never match, but I can hear so it's perfect!

I have one more procedure next week on my neck and 3 weeks of physical therapy left for my thigh, then I am taking time over the summer travel some, to heal and recover! 6 surgeries, 2 neck procedures and 6 weeks of physical therapy all in 6 months is enough!

Healing truly is one step at a time! No matter the type of healing needed, mentally, physically, sexually or even spiritually, it all starts with one breath at a time! You are one person so things will get done when they get done! 😊

I think Surgery should be my new name! No shortcuts or abriviations, just Surgery! Very early tomorrow morning I am once again heading into surgery! It's part two of my ear reconstruct following a case of ear cancer!

I am only 3 weeks out from surgery and well, here we are again! That's 6 surgerys in 6 months! After 53 times around that surgery rodeo it's time for a very long break!!

My two ears will never again be equal in appearance, but that is not of any importance to me at this point. My hair covers it most of the time anyway. And my hearing should be completely back as well! Thank heavens for all miracles little or large!

You sure can! In fact, dance to any music you can. Move, sway, step, or even leap! Once I get off crutches and can freely walk again, I'll be leaping across the sand. I took dance lessons for 14 years and still have my ballet slippers and tap shoes. I've been known to dance my heart out while no one is watch! Sometimes you just gotta cut loose! 😁

I absolutely believe we are more capable than we think! Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would go through 51 surgeries and still come out on top! Well maybe not on top but survive them all and still standing! Still on crutches but standing! Life will always throw some curve balls but we can, and we will get through them. They say God doesn't give us more than we can handle, but I question that! 🤣

Yesterday was my birthday and I got the best surprise from some of my kids and grandkids! They drove 5 to 6 hours to spend a few hours with us! We all had lunch and then they drove back home! My daughter is a photographer and made me the nicest gift full of all their photos!

Before they arrived I was sitting on the couch (still recovering from surgery) thinking how dark and evil things are in the world today and that we need to get our joy how and when we can. My kids definitely brought me joy yesterday, made the world seem a bit brighter!!
