Twins born Saturday to LCLL Dizzy-Doez-It and SMRL Bomb Cyclone while we were away at the beach. We came home to find them carefully tucked into a tree pocket with full tummies while mamma grazed nearby. Dizzy is a first freshener, but she had it all figured out and was quite happy without us poking around as she managed her 6.4 lb doeling and 5.6 lb buckling. This wraps our 2026 kidding - Kiko’s fortunately make life easy!

Yearling SMRL Alloy’s Delight somehow got exposed to KCR Kopf Canyon Cold Iron when we turned our backs. She was only 10 months old at breeding, but she kidded these 5.6 lb each twin doelings with no apparent difficulty and had them dry, fed, and ready to display when I walked out to the barn this morning.

Our final kidding group for 2026 kicked off today with twins from 100% NZ sire KCR Kopf Canyon Cold Iron and percentage Kiko Dam LCLL Hopscotch. These kids are 75% Kiko, 18.75% Boer and 6.25% Toggenburg. The kids were alert, dry, and well fed when I found the group in the barn where Hopscotch chose to kid. https://www.stonymtnlivestock.com
