Sarah here! It is October, so Heather and I will have our pink tent at the Sherman Farmers Market to support a breast cancer thriver as they go through treatment. This is our 3rd year to have a "pink tent" and each year someone in our small circles of friends is fighting breast cancer-- it has been heartbreaking to see how truly common this diagnosis is!

That brings me to Charlene. In 2015, I got my first job as a speech therapist, and I had the pleasure of becoming Co-workers and friends with Charlene! She was sweet, bubbly, and so easy to talk to. I learned that before becoming a speech therapist, she was an elementary teacher for several years, which also fits her fun and warm-hearted personality perfectly! While we work in different facilities now, we have remained friends throughout the years!

Unfortunately, this summer, Charlene was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma, the second most common type of breast cancer and a difficult one to detect! Heather and I are hoping to raise money for Charlene to help ease the financial burden that comes with a cancer diagnosis. All proceeds from pink items as well as a portion from all other sales for the month of October will go directly to Charlene, her husband, and her two sons. Please consider coming out and blessing my sweet friend and her family as she begins her battle!

New mystery boxes! 🎉 Here are some hints: 1) our husbands have insisted we make these for years, so we finally gave in 2) you can catch 'em all at Sherman Farmers Market or Arts Fest tomorrow (Saturday the 19th)

We will also have lots of other crochet stuffies, hot sauce, honey and other handmade items! 🙂 No flowers tomorrow.

Excited to be back at Sherman Farmers Market tomorrow from 9-noon! 🎉 Unfortunately, we will not have flowers. We will have all of our usual stuff: crochet stuffies, hot sauce, honey!

New: We did decide it is officially close enough to fall to add our crochet pumpkin patch! Also, we will have new cooling scarf designs!

This year I'm learning when to be persistent and battle nature to make the farm successful and when to take a step back and enjoy the small things in life. Read about it in the new blog post! We will be back at Sherman Farmers Market this Saturday! Hope to see you all there! 😊
