We lost a great friend and family member this morning. We adopted Munchkin from the Toledo Animal Shelter in 2008 when she was a year old. I have personally known her since she was only 4 weeks old. Munchkin was a very sweet and loving cat who loved us all unconditionally. You will always be missed. Go join your sister Pippi across the Rainbow Bridge and run free my sweet friend.
With an extremely heavy heart I am announcing the passing of our beautiful, sweet, and loving doe Ober-Boerd T Gravity Wave. Gravity came down with listeriosis Saturday night and started having seizures from a fever. The vet was called out immediately and was started on meds asap. We did everything we could and she fought as hard as she possibly could. In the end her body gave out before her heart. She cuddled with us through it all and when her fever broke we thought it was a turn for the better. But, when her fever broke she went down and couldn't get back up even though she tried valiantly with all her might. She passed 24 hrs ago and my heart is broken. She was so special to me. She always gave me hugs and kisses when I went into the barn and followed me everywhere around the pen. They say time heals all wounds. I doubt this wound will ever heal but, maybe in time my heart will be ready to open again for another doe. Rest in peace my brave Gravity.
I would also like to congratulate my brother-in-law, Earl Saylor, for giving in and showing a nigerian dwarf kid yesterday at the show. Ruth Caplon asked him so nicely and he just couldn't turn her down. Good job Earl! 😀
