🌷The egg cooler is out on the bench for anyone who is interested in eggs. Currently have 8 dozen in there & can refill if needed.

Considering putting eggs in the cooler at the door.
If not this afternoon it’s something we can definitely do tomorrow if anyone is need of eggs for their Easter Brunch/Dinner.

Hey yall,
We are going to have TONS of eggs available in the next 24 hours or so…. We currently have 6 coffee cans on the counter needing washed- which will be happening tomorrow. I still have a few dozen in the fridge ready now. We are not doing delivery so you will need to come out to us. We have a cooler that we sit on our bench outside the door that you can pick up from & leave your payment if needed or we accept Venmo.

If you’re interested please let us know that way we can make sure eggs are available.

We are still here and surviving
We know we’ve been quiet but we’ve got a lot going on in life. The babies came to the fence for a New Years treat and everyone is looking good. Some looking wider than others but hey, we don’t judge here.

In chicken news: we have 15 dozen available (limit 2)
$5 each.

What’s that saying?
10 steps forward, 20 steps back.
Just when we get to a point to get things going again and set a routine we get smacked with a HUGE attack on the flock. Unfortunately egg availability has come to a halt again 😭. We are heart broken for the boy because he was so excited to have things rolling and then to have a predator come clean out all but 8 chickens, really stinks. AND whatever it was that came through even took ‘Boss’ which was the boy’s favorite Rooster. ON THE PLUS side we have the teenagers that are in the nursery and they are about ready to be transferred over and start laying soon and not long behind them we have the other babies we got from our extension office. Once we get back on track (again) we will be sure to announce, but in the mean time… here we sit & apologize- however as I am reminded ‘that’s the circle of life’ and how ‘farm life goes’.

Hello Friends!
LONG POST WARNING
We wanted to give an update on what's been going on-FINALLY! We have new babies in the nursery which means by September they should be laying- YAH! We've also had issues with raccoons, skunks, & our irritating neighbor the fox- so some of the flock has down sized. We are still getting eggs; not as many as we'd like but we are making things work. Currently, we are no longer taking our eggs to Funk Farm (slow production doesn't allow us to keep up with their demand). We have decided that since we have so many of you getting eggs straight from us that we would come up with a system and we have also made the decision to help keep rotation going (until we are able to get eggs from the new flock coming in) everyone will only be able to get 2 dozen at a time- if there are extras once everyone is filled/refilled we will make sure to share (first come first serve) but PLEASE do not message asking for extra- we will tell you no.

SO how it will work:
Everyone will get 4 cartons marked with their name
We will separate them in 2 groups and fill everyone's first 2 dozen
While we are collecting/washing eggs we will start to fill the next set of cartons and those will be put in the fridge until you contact us that you're ready. HOWEVER! In order to get your next 2 dozen you will need to return the two cartons you already have so that we can refill those and continue the rotation/cycle.
Delivery and pick up is still an option (please let us know if you'd like to pick up- we will set up the cooler with some ice packs and a way to leave payment if you want to leave cash :)

Cash, Venmo () or PayPal () are accepted

The Boy is still grateful for everyone supporting his little egg business and thanks you for being understanding while we make things work best as possible :)
