Mrs. K's Homemade Treats Hello! Welcome and Thank You for visiting my page! My name is Nikki. I was born and raised in the Philippines. My love for cooking began when I was nine years old.

I moved to Sidney Montana in 2017, got married, settled in and started a family. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen learning from my grandmother. Cooking and baking isn't just a hobby for me--it's what I am passionate about. Labor of Love. Homemade Ube Halaya πŸ’œ

Ube Halaya or Ube Jam can be eaten on its own, spread on toast or used as base for bread, frostings and desserts. I used grated ube/purple yam, butter, evaporated milk, coconut milk, and ube extract. It tastes so much better than store bought but it does require at least one hour of constant stirring. πŸ˜‚ Ube tastes similar to Taro but has a deeper and nuttier flavor. ✨️

This might be my new favorite cake. I love that it's light, moist, it melts in your mouth, and it's not overly sweet. Top it off with any fruit you want! I like mine with strawberries or raspberries. One slice is never enough. Soooo good. ❀

I'm back!! Well, not 100% YET but I'm slowly working my way back into the kitchen.

I gave birth to my 3rd baby four weeks ago. She is such a little sweetheart! Oh my. We are so inlove with her.

I am so thankful that my clients are so understanding and so patient with my situation. I can't take huge food orders yet but simple desserts, like this on the photo, I can work with.

Funny story:
A client texted me a day before I had my baby if I could make couple dozens of bread for her. I told her I wasn't feeling so good. I didn't know I was going to have the baby the following day!!

Next day, while I was on ACTIVE labor, another client sent me a message asking if he could order a cake. I replied, "I'm so sorry but I can't right now. I am literally about to have my baby. I am at the hospital now and in active labor."

3 days postpartum, another client asked if I was back in business.

Every week, someone is asking if they could place an order for filipino bread, cake, filipino food. If I could cater to everyone, I would. I am just trying to take it easy for now... I'm still adjusting to life with 2 toddlers and 1 newborn baby. πŸ₯Ί

But thank you soooo much. I appreciate your love and support. Can't wait to get back into the groove. πŸ’™
