Our mission statement is to promote food recovery, acquire and distribute food and household products; and provide community leadership and education on issues of hunger and poverty in an effort to alleviate hunger in the region.

SEMO Food Bank CEO Joey Keys was in Washington, D.C., last week, meeting with legislators to advocate for the . While there, he visited with Madison, daughter of former food bank CEO Karen Green! Madison is the communication director for Alabama Rep. Barry Moore.
We had some wonderful groups and individuals join us this week to pack senior food boxes and Backpacks for Friday bags.

This distribution, which will serve 200 families, is open to anyone who needs food assistance in our 16-county service area.
Please keep the following in mind:
🔸There is a limit of two households per vehicle.
🔸 Someone from a household must be present to receive food.
🔸 If you are a home health worker who is picking up for a client, please bring documentation.
Food bank staff will be directing traffic; please follow all instructions to keep everyone safe and the distribution moving efficiently.
