We were finally blessed with some much needed rain and the garden is loving it. And I am soooo tickled over the mullein plant! I have 3 big ones scattered around the property that I have made threats of bodily harm over 🤣

Our garden is coming along great. Potatoes, corn and squash. I still need to get pictures of the beans, zucchini ,peas and tomato plants. We were able to get everything fertilized and all the weeds out before the rain. Back breaking work but so worth it.😃

Managed to get 2 rows covered. Another one tomorrow.

Today I witnessed the not so glamorous part of raising animals. Our last ewe to lamb had 2 stillborns this morning. Both had to be pulled. She had been in labor for 3 days. We called 3 vets and NONE will come to a farm and assist. I kept her going with calcium, molasses/karo syrup and electrolytes. It was traumatic for me and her. Im going to put some antibiotics on board for her and pray she is strong enough to pull through. It’s at this time that farmers decide if they are strong enough to keep doing it.
I think we are…we’re not giving up yet.
