We’ve had a busy week here as the sap has been running like crazy.

I wanted to pop in to let you all know about our new certification. You may have noticed these beautiful stickers on our syrup jugs this year.

Last Fall we went through the process to be certified as a Bird Friendly Maple producer.

Bird Friendly Maple producers feature habitats for birds to forage, hide and raise their young.

We work to ensure that we have a diversity of tree species more than just Maple. We leave plenty of logs and branches on the forest floor and also leave standing dead trees with cavities the bigger the better.

While all of this doesn’t change the taste of our delicious Libby Maple Syrup we’d like to think that taking care of our feathered friends is the right thing to do.

Maple sugarbushes are great for birds, but forests that are intentionally managed with birds in mind are even better.

Had a couple stop by today who were just passing through Cornville. They were on their honeymoon and ended up here on their way back from Bar Harbor.

Could anything be any sweeter the this❤️🍁

I may be biased but any marriage that includes Maple Syrup is one that is built to last.

Hello everyone, we are here at the south house. It’s T -0 hours the party is all set up and we’re ready for Mr. Libby.  Things are in our favor and we have landed at the sap house so please come to the sap house which is 81 Bowman Rd. the very first driveway on the right you’ll see a sign with balloons at the end of the driveway see you soon take

A fun first for Libby Maple. We ship all over the country, but this is the very first time that we have shipped a package of syrup and crunch to Alaska. No matter how far you are it’s always nice to get a package from Maine of your favorites 🍁
We are gearing up for our holiday shipping so please let us know if you would like us to send a package to someone that you love.

SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, September 6, which is this year’s Forestry Field Day! Held from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Libby family woodlot in Cornville, Forestry Field Day is an all ages, free of charge, rain or shine event that is open to the public and will feature a breakfast social, exhibits, and tours that feature commercial and non-commercial forestry; forest management for hunting, birding, and biodiversity; water quality protection, and sugarbush management/syrup making. Each tour will be available both in the morning and in the afternoon.

Jay and Kathryn Libby are the winners of the 2025 Maine Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year award for the exceptional forest management of their 120-acre forest. This event is being organized by the Libby family, Maine Tree Farm, Maine Woodland Owners, and Maine Forest Service.

News from the Sugar Shack. Record collection today 825 gallons of sap collected.

Boys are still here boiling. So far we’ve burned 3 pallets of firewood today. Another long day ahead tomorrow but we are happy about that because it means more Libby Maple Syrup can be made for all of you. ❤️🍁

We are bottling today so we should have plenty more syrup for the weekend. If you want to stop in we will be in and around the Sugar Shack this weekend.

I am traveling on Friday and would be willing to drop syrup as I'm headed South. Text me if you want to meet up or stop by anytime at our home, Porch pick up, (117 Bowman Road) or at the Sugar Shack (81 Bowman Road)

Good morning Libby Maple followers. I wanted to post this morning to let you know that I'm making up some Maple Nut Crunch. We went into the event with over 30 batches and somehow we sold out!

I've begun restocking so if you are in need of any please let me know. I'll have it available at the Sugar Shack and also here at our home (Porch sales).

If you need syrup anytime during the year you can always give us a call and include Maple crunch in your order.
