Our goal is to produce athletic and healthy individuals who are able to excel in dressage and jumping with both amateur and professional riders alike.
The key to this is a focus on rideability, good gaits and exceptional temperaments. Many RSF horses are now in training and winning across the country. The Rolling Stone breeding program consists of a select number of quality mares from impeccable bloodlines, including several who won championships at their respective mare inspections. We currently stand the approved breeding stallions Gold Luck,
Shakespeare RSF, and Fhitzgerald. In January of 2011, we welcomed the coming three year-old stallion, Sir James. We always have an outstanding selection of horses available for purchase, from weanlings and yearlings, riding horses, and proven broodmares. Additional information can always be found on our website, and we are always happy to entertain serious inquiries.

My 2021 foal crop is OUTSTANDING! People who know me know that I don’t use this term lightly. I don’t have the skills or the time to take lots of photos and videos of this group, but if you want to have either, I will get out there and get them for you. These foals are available. Here is the list:
-Tall filly by Zoom out of Special Premium Shusquehanna (Shakespeare RSF/DeNiro/Rohdiamant). Dam was winner of her MPT with high scores
-Filly by Fuerst Romancier out of Special Premium Shcooter (Shakespeare RSF/Royal Prince/Weltmeyer). This filly has one of the best walks I’ve ever seen and her trot and canter are good too. Granddam was Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon
-C**t by Secret out of Special Premium Whii (Wild Dance/ DaCaprio/Monty). WOW beauty and movement on this c**t!
-Filly by Shavane (Shakespeare RSF/Royal Prince/Weltmeyer) out of Special Premium Rhaisonette (Rosentanz/Fuerst Heinrich/Velton Third). OMG movement and beauty. Granddam is half sister to Benicio and the German Foal Champion, dam performed through third level.
Filly by Epic Eastwood out of Special Premium Ghodiva (Gold Luck/DeNiro/Rohdiamant). Beautiful medium sized filly out of MPT winning dam who was the highest ranked GOV mare in her 3 year old year.
Foal number 6: Ehxquisite - a filly by Epic Eastwood out of Special Premium/El. Ghodiva (Gold Luck/DeNiro/Rohdiamant).

Sometimes you just have to go for it. Saturday we took 4 year old Dhoublet (Dheputy/Rosentanz/Fuerst Heinrich) to his first recognized dressage show at the beautiful Bucks County Horse Park and he exceeded our expectations. Ridden superbly by Jocelyn Kraenzle, he scored 73.448% in training test 2 and an 83.6% in the USEF Four Year Old test. He was super, although tense over the topline a few times and he had to get used to warming up in a ring with other horses (and seeing a grey horse for the first time 👀). He ended up having the high score of the show for that training level test (young horse classes don’t count or that would have been the high score), plus he was training level champion. Photos added are courtesy of Heather Mason- thank you!

The shoulder-in. It may look simple, but it can be one of the most difficult movements to teach to students of dressage. The movement may be clear in your mind when you read about it, and it looks so easy when someone performs it correctly, but when you try to ride it yourself, you run into multiple problems. Your body balks at what it should be doing, and your horse hollows, slows down, does more of a leg-yield or has too much angle, overbends his neck, or does any number of other things that are not correct.
In this exclusive, multiple time Adequan®/USDF Breeder award recipient Maurine “Mo” Swanson shares the secrets of this movement, complete with helpful diagrams: https://yourdressage.org/2021/04/13/a-way-to-learn-how-to-ride-shoulder-in/

I just brought these two home from the breaker. They will be for sale after they are going well under saddle. Super movers!

I breed occasional hunters too. This is Fhraser (Fuerst Romancier/ Stedinger/Winterprinz) owned, ridden and trained by Jill Strittmatter. They are 2020 Zone 1 Champion 3' Greens and Champion Older Adult Hunters. Fhraser is the second successful horse that Jill bought from me and has developed. Congratulations Jill!!!
I am so excited! I found out some information on the two Diamond Hit mares I have in Germany. Dhark Ruby (DH/DeNiro) has a half sister by Millennium that competed at the Westphalian Elite Mare Show in Germany. My mare's dam, Avantgarde is full sister to the dam of Bretton Woods and her granddam Alina (by Romancier) is dam of Annabel who is granddam of Le Formidable! Dhiamont Pendant (DH/Munchausen) has two licensed half brothers- Avicii by Apache who was Premium stallion at the 2014 Westphalian licensing and sold for $150K and a c**t by Millennium who was licensed Deutschen Sportpferde in 2019.
Day two of the Hanoverian mare performance test in Verden Germany (85 mares over two days- wow!) resulted in good results for the two three year old Diamond Hit mares I purchased as foals from Heinrich Ramsbrock. The DH-DeNiro got 7-8-7 (trot-canter-walk) for the gaits and 7.5 and 8 for rideabilty and 6, 6.5, and 7 for jumping! She also got the Hanoverian Premium!
The DH -Münchhausen got 7 for trot 8 for canter, 7 for walk and 8,5 for riding and 9,5 from the test rider! For jumping she got 7.5 and 7 and 7.5 for jumping intelligence. She had a higher rideability score from the test rider than a MPT mare which is headed to the Young Horse Championships next week. She is registered Westphalian so ineligible for the Hanoverian award.
Thank you to Joerg Clasen for the great care and to his rider Karoline for the super presentation under saddle! I will need to sell the DH- DeNiro, unfortunately...

The Hanoverian mare in Germany that I bred did her Mare Performance Test and studbook inspection today. Her breeding is Bordeaux/SPS Rotissima (Rotspon/Lauries Crusador xx). She received a 1a, and was awarded Premium Mare Candidate with the following scores: jumping 6.5 and 7.0, Walk 8 trot 8 canter 8 ridebility 8,5 and 8. Thank you to Stephan Morisse and his girlfriend who did the riding. Congratulations to the new owners!
Rotissima has now produced for me an FEI dressage horse, a licensed stallion and another Hanoverian Premium Mare that I am breeding by Finest. She had a c**t by Escamillo this year.
After many years of almost making the top spot, I am finally the USDF Dressage Breeder of the Year. I am so sad that there will not be an awards banquet to accept this award. My fourth generation homebred 6 year old mare Shurreal is the Horse of the Year for Second Level and my homebred 5 year old mare Fhunny Girl is ranked 8th for first level. Both horses were superbly ridden to top scores all season by Rolling Stone Farm’s trainer, Jocelyn Kraenzle. She rode my horses in shows from intro level for the really young horses at their first horse show through Grand Prix with a 12 year old mare. There was only one breed show in our area this year, so we weren’t able to get the reauired number of scores for year end, but my horses had very high scores and many championships. We had good results in All Breeds final placings, as did other horses I bred and sold, including Hhemlock and Rhock of Ages, and Whizard of Oz did his first year at Grand Prix, trained all the way from training level by his amateur owner. There were many other wins in the show ring with horses I bred and sold. I am the USEF dressage breeder of the year for the 7th year in a row. I am a very proud breeder this year!
I am looking to either sell this wonderful mare myself or to have someone market her for me in Wellington or California this season. Contact me if interested. I am the breeder and she has been trained in house. 12 year old 16.2h sound, no maintenance, competitive Grand Prix Hanoverian mare by Hotline.

Special Premium Candidate Shurreal (Sezuan/ EM Rheporter [Royal Prince/Weltmeyer]) and Jocelyn Kraenzle were Region 8 Champions Saturday at second level with a 72.440%- I am so proud of both of them!
Well, our horses did super at the Stone Tavern Breed Show at the NJ Horse Park on Wednesday, September 2. Unfortunately, there were only a few entries but our scores reflected the quality we brought. Thanks to Jocelyn Kraenzle for braiding, grooming and superb riding, Nick Bleiler for a super job in handling the horses in hand and Larissa Barilar for agreeing to catch ride on a three year old filly that was at her third time off property. Here are the results:
Three Year Old Fillies- 1st place Mharcasite (Morricone/ Special Premium Whii- Wild Dance/ Di Caprio) 78.725%, 2nd place-Dhiamond (Dheputy/ Special Premium Shusquehanna- Shakespeare RSF/De Niro) 78.175%.
Filly and also Young Horse Championship- Mharcasite Champion, Dhiamond reserve champion.
Maiden or Yeld Mares 4 years old and older- 1st place Special Premium Candidate Fhunny Girl (Fuerstenball/ Elite Mare Regalia- Royal Prince/Grundstein 84.0%. She was also Mare Champion and Mature Horse Champion.
Grand Championship: Fhunny Girl Champion, Dhiamond reserve Champion (go figure...)
USDF Filly North East Series Final: Marcasirte Champion 80.362%, Dhiamond reserve champion 77.825%
USDF Mare North East Series Final: Fhunny Girl Champion 82.862%
Materiale for 3 year old fillies: Mharcasite catch ridden by Larissa: 1st 77.0%, Dhiamond ridden y Jocelyn tied for 2nd but placed third 76.3%.
The babies were getting tired by then so I didn't enter them in the Materiale Championship. They did 6 runs in hand and one under saddle class in one day! We kept probably the best movers of the group home (Bhracelet by Bordeaux out of Elite mare Rheporter- Royal Prince/Weltmeyer). She is still immature looking. Also Bhrilliance (Buckingham/ Elite Mare Lhuau- Loerke/Bruderherz). I am not keeping the 3 year olds, unfortunately so they are available.
I’m going to enjoy this for as long as it lasts! Thank you Jocelyn Kraenzle for the good riding
We had a super recognized dressage show yesterday at Rhythm and Blues Equestrian Center in Quakertown, PA. The weather was perfect and the riding from Jocelyn Kraenzle was super! We brought three homebred horses, 5 tests, 5 wins, 3 division high scores. Hhot Tamale did a much improved Grand Prix test for a 64.785%. FEI high score. 5 year old Fhunny Girl: First level test 2- 72.286% and first 3- 71.389%. First level high score. 6 year old Shurreal: second level test 2-73.537% and second 3 71.786%. second level high score. Thank you to Monika Dujardin, Yvonne and Scott Emerson, Jennifer Bateman and all of the volunteers!
We’ve been busy showing and I am proud to report our results with Jocelyn Kraenzle’s super riding and training on my homebred horses:
12 year old home bred and trained EMC/PM Hhot Tamale (Hotline/Contucci) has improved her passage and piaffe significantly and still needs more strength but she scored 63.804, 68.125% and 66.196 so far this year at Grand Prix. 6 year old Special Premium Candidate Shurreal (Sezuan/Royal Prince) moved up to second level and has so far received 76.829, 76.786, 79.390, 77.976, and 75.122, scoring 8’s for gaits 5 times along with quite a few 9’s throughout the tests. 5 year old Special Premium Candidate Fhunny Girl (Fuerstenball/ Royal Prince) moved up to first level this year receiving 73.714, 65.833, 66.0 and 77.5, getting 8 or 8.5 on her gaits scores. Special Premium Candidate Shabrina (Shakespeare RSF/Widmark) showed at fourth level for the first time this year receiving 67.051 and 64.211. I am very proud of Jocelyn who received the well deserved rider position score of 9 four times!

Look, Jocelyn Kraenzle!
So excited to announce one of our images from our session at Rolling Stone Farm will be featured in July's issue of Behind The Shutter! We had a blast working with Mo Swanson and Jocelyn Kraenzle and their beautiful horses!
Shelene- 3 days old. (Shavane/ Special Premium Rhaisonette- Rosentanz/Fuerst Heinrich)
The birth of Shelene ends our foaling season for 2020 and she is a beauty.
We are excited about her because she is the first foal sired by Shavane, my homebred approved stallion who is sired by my homebred approved GP trained stallion Shakespeare RSF. We were surprised she is a chestnut, since dad and grand dad are dark brown, and mom is bay out of a black mare, but the good thing is that Shelene looks exactly like chestnut EM Rheporter, Shavane's dam, and that is a very good thing! EM Rheporter was Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon 2011, and was one of my very best riding horses and then one of my best broodmares. The dam of this filly is Special Premium Rhaisonette, who was a breed show winner, and won up to third level before becoming a broodmare. Her dam is the half sister to the stallion Benicio, and also another half brother which was a German foal champion, and her dam represented the Hanoverian breed at the European Mare Championship. Shelene has a royal pedigree!
Selene was the Greek goddess of the moon, which she drove every night across the skies.
Yay! Our horses got to go to a dressage schooling show on Saturday! Thank you LVDA, Jennifer Koch and all the volunteers. It was a bit strange to wear a mask but so fun to be back showing. Jocelyn Kraenzle rode beautifully and we saw the results of her excellent training: 6 yo Shurreal won her second level test 3 with a 70.714% and Shabrina won her fourth level test 1 with a 68.462%. It was both mares’ first time out at those levels. Jocelyn was high score adult second level.
