Dusty Roots Homestead We are a small hobby homestead that began with our love for animals and a flock of 8 chickens about 10 years ago.

We have continued to grow animal by animal ever since. We raise chickens & are currently building our ND goat herd.

Surprise! Juanita had her babies last night; another set of twins 🤩 This time 2 girls. While we were thinking she had more than 2 (possibly a whole herd) in that big ol’ belly of hers, we’re thankful for healthy babies.

While you’re away the animals will play.. or have their babies!!!

Sarah decided to have her twins while we were on vacation last week. Luckily, we had the best helpers to ensure that they were well taken care of until we got back home yesterday.

We have a little buckling and doeling 🥰 We have names in mind, but want to be certain they’ll stick before we release them so stay tuned!

⚠️ The FUN part of having chickens during the summer 🥴 Monk was out gathering eggs yesterday & found a No-No Stick in the Maran nest box! Came to get me and we were able to safely relocate him (with a belly full of eggs) as a warning.
