Friday is your first chance to try our beer 🍻

We'll be at the Thurmont Art & Wine Stroll this Friday, August 21 from 5pm-8pm! We recently finally received our farm brewery license from the state of Maryland and we brewed a few quick, very small batches for this event. We hope to see some of you on Friday!

Quick update on our opening. This license was the last remaining major permit hurdle for us (we're officially the newest Maryland farm brewery!). We are wrapping up installation of our equipment over the next few weeks and are hoping to be brewing in September. Assuming we stay on track we're looking at a grand opening in October! We won't have a firm date until we get some beer in the tanks but we're getting very close.

We're in love with this fun tile pattern to liven up the taproom. We've installed bar hooks so you never have to store your belongings on the ground, and high quality seats with backs were a must!

We recently added a pollinator garden right next to our small herb and vegetable garden near the taproom. We're growing some herbs and veggies for beer, like cucumbers for our Cucumber Blonde and some hot peppers for some spicy beers in the future, to supplement what we can get locally.

Big news! This week we received our certificate of occupancy from Washington County!

This means we can officially begin our full move-in and final preparation to begin brewing beer. There's still a little bit to be done but this was a huge step in the right direction. We aren't quite ready to announce an opening date but we're very close. More to come!

Spent the morning with our (new) good friends Bear Branch Malt in Westminster!

As a farm brewery we want to support Maryland agriculture and that starts with our grain. Nearly all of the grain in our beer will be grown either on our farm or in Maryland and we'll be sourcing a lot of it from Bear Branch. You can be sure that when you support us, you're in turn supporting Maryland farmers. Local beer that's actually local!

A great taproom deserves a great bar. We acquired this local vintage bowling alley lane and turned it into our bar top.

After its time as a bowling lane it became a dance floor and now we're excited to give it new life to serve you pints. We're enjoying our Corn Lager after a hard day's work.
