Heading out of town for a little family vacation…this was my last peek at the farm for two whole weeks! I’m betting these zinnias will be POPPIN when we get back! Stay tuned for the update!

Sunflowers!!! Everyone loves ‘em. How could you not? They’re easy to grow as long as you can keep the deer off them, but harvesting at the right time is tricky. Too early and they’ll never open, too late and they’ll blow open and shed their petals after a day or two. When you harvest them right the vase life is insane…I’ve got one on my kitchen windowsill that was picked tight like these. She’s fully open now and still looks perfect after two weeks! 🌻

I know I said we wouldn’t be back at Honey B’s Bakery until next month but…I lied. Our sunflowers started blooming which means we’re coming at ya this Saturday with some beautiful spring bouquets, ready to pop in a vase and spruce up your kitchen table! These feature garden roses, delphinium, snapdragons, spirea, yarrow, and of course our white sunnies! They are fragrant and oh-so-colorful. Twelve dollars each. Stop by and get a sweet treat and a cheerful bouquet. The stand opens Saturday at 8 - see you then!
