🚜🐔 Feed Day on the Farm! 🐔🚜

Picked up 1 ton of organic chicken feed from JK Organics, delivered to Lawrence, Kansas! It takes a lot of quality feed to keep our flock happy, healthy, and laying the delicious pasture-raised eggs our customers enjoy.

Every scoop of feed is an investment in better animal welfare, healthier soil, and nutrient-dense eggs. We’re grateful for suppliers who help us stay committed to raising chickens the way we believe they should be raised.

Now comes the fun part—getting all 2,000 pounds unloaded and stored before the hens start demanding their next meal! 😄

Moving day is their favorite day. 🐄🌱
Fresh paddock, fresh grass, happy cows.

I am moving cows to a new paddock today. It is easy for one person to do by themselves. We have some fall heifers that will be coming up for sale very soon.

Our happy hens are enjoying some fresh turnips we planted while doing what chickens do best—scratching, grazing, and naturally fertilizing the pasture. Regenerative farming means healthier soil, happier animals, and better food from the ground up. 💚

“Free-range” sounds great… but it doesn’t always mean what you think.

Our hens? They’re out on pasture, rotated to fresh ground, chasing bugs and soaking up sunshine every day. 🐓☀️

Plus, they’re fed organic feed—so what goes into them matters just as much as how they’re raised.

Happy hens make better eggs. It’s that simple. 💛🥚
