All set up for the 2nd Annual Lord of the Wings competition and peoples choice. Come on out and get yourself a tasters pass and try some wings.

I went out on Saturday to watch the steak and beef rib competition.
It was great to hang out with everyone.
Thanks to my wife Natalie Casebeer for coming out and helping me serve over 150 wings while I was cooking.
I want to say thank you to Jack and Carey Foster for putting on a great two day event. As well as all of the volunteers that it took to make it happen.
The Lord of the Wings on Friday and Saturdays competitions were fun to be a part of.
Looking forward to next year.

I know I haven't posted in awhile. I've been busy. I did however find the time to enter in the BreakUp ShakeUp this year in Palmer. I didn't have much time to practice but here are some ribs I did get to try on my drum smoker.
I will be doing ribs, chicken, chili and peoples choice.

Well, I didn't do as well as I'd hoped. I got 8th in Lord of the Wings and tied for 3rd in the peoples choice. The wind was brutal but it was fun. Tomorrow is the dessert and steak competitions. Thanks to my wife for being part of the team and my mom for taking the pictures that I forgot.

Saturday was just the opposite with the weather. No wind and pouring rain.
I learned what not to cook steak on. I got 10th in both Steak A and Steak B.
We did however come away with a 2nd in the dessert ancillary as well as a golden ticket to the World Championship in Texas.
Apparently I was more tired than I thought. (I thought I was smiling)
