Market Report for sheep and goat August 19/2023
We will have our sale tomorrow August 22, 2023 but with the heat being so extreme it will be a lite run of cattle. There is quite a few cows in tonight that are being preg fed as well as some really nice pairs. 60 hd of Strs in off grass weighing 550 to 650. We will start at our normal time but please keep the welfare of the animals in mind. Bring them in early as we will be here at 6am to start unloading an trying to get cows through the vet facility with the least amount of stress possible. We have pushed all the consigned calves an yearlings to the September 12th special an we want to give a very big thank you to all of our producers for working with us to get through the heat. Starting June off with a bang! We have a nice run of calves an few yearling today. Most all of the calves are hard weaned an ready for grass. Will start at 11am sharp. Thank you to all of our consignors We couldn’t do it without you!

Tuesday February 6th we have another big offering of hay to sell at 9am. Then at 11am we will start a the bred cows an around 450 calves an feeders. Most everything is weaned and a round of shots. November 22,2022 market report. We had a very active market on all classes of cattle this past Tuesday with several new buyers in the seats. We ended up with 1391hd through the ring. A very big thank you to all of the consignors an buyers for attending. This coming Tuesday November 29th we have a bred cow an pair special. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving an hope to see everyone on Tuesday.
Consignment list for Tuesday November 8th is packed full of good calves. We will start with the bred cows at 11am an there is close to 100 cows to preg. We are expecting 1200 for the sale with 150 weigh cows after the calves. We want to thank all of our consignors regardless if it’s 1 hd or 100 we appreciate everyone of them. Hope to see everyone tomorrow an don’t forget to stop by the cafe for homemade cinnamon rolls an donuts. They are worth the stop.

Very active market Tuesday October 11th. We sold just over 1275 hd for the day. The calves off the cow with no vaccinations still don’t have many friends. Buyers were very active on weaned calves an longtime yearling cattle. The butcher cow an bull market was cheaper with the fall numbers still increasing due to short feed supply. Today’s consignments are full of top quality calves an yearlings. Lots of hard yearlings right off the flint hill grass. Quite a few hfrs that the genetics run deep in that will make powerful cows from reputation producers. A few good pairs an quite a few bred cows as well for today. We hope to see everyone here. Sheep & Goat Sale Tomorrow Saturday Sept 17th. NEW START TIME OF 11:00 AM. We are here unloading and checking in until 7 pm tonight then we will start unloading again at 8 am tomorrow. Please note we are no longer having hog sales. We are only accepting Sheep & Goats for the sale tomorrow.
Sheep & Goat sale this Saturday September 17th. We apologize, we are not going to be open for breakfast, but will be ready with our lunch menu at 11:00 am. Our special will be a chicken tender basket w/ drink for $9.49. We will be back to our normal breakfast schedule for the cattle sale on Tuesday.

Thank you to all of our consignors an buyers today. The market continues to be very active on all classes of calves an yearlings. Here is a highlight set of calves 6hd of Strs weighing 602 @ 207.00
No Sale tomorrow July 19th. Next week we will have a Dairy Dispersal from Tom and Kevin Jacobs consisting of 65-70 cows that are milking now as well as 20-25 bred an open Hfrs. This has been a closed herd since they started in the mid 1950’s. Also have a nice run of Holstein and Beef Strs and Hfrs to follow the dispersal. We will have consignment list posted mid week. The butcher cow an bull market has started to get a lot cheaper as the packers are seeing large numbers coming to town due to the dry conditions. The calf and yearling market has been a ball of fire an we are seeing great demand for all weight classes. A Big Thank You to everyone and try to stay cool in this extreme heat for the next few days. Market Report for July 12th 2022
The calf an feeder market is very strong. We had strong demand for all weight classes of calves an yearlings with a 109 hd of heifers from Latham Ks being a big highlight brought 175.85 weighing 656. The butcher cow an bull market is starting to get cheaper with the wide spread drought that is going on. If you have cattle that you need help marketing give us a call an we will help every way possible. No Sale Tuesday July 19th but we will be at the barn if you need to sell cows an bulls. We have a nice run of cattle for tomorrow’s sale. We know that it’s supposed to be extremely hot so please haul your cattle in early tomorrow to try an get ahead of the heat. The calf an yearling market is on fire right now but the cull cow market is starting to slide down due to the dry conditions. Thank You to everyone an we hope to see you here tomorrow.
