If you’ve been wondering how I make my cake pop dough, here’s what I’ve been doing!

First, let me say this: I am STILL a beginner treat maker! So this is just how I — emphasis on I — have been preparing my cake pop dough. I’m definitely still learning, experimenting, and figuring out what works best for me!

For this particular video, I used 2 boxes of Betty Crocker Strawberry Cake Mix, so I doubled my ingredients:
🍓 2 cups water
🍓 2/3 cup vegetable oil
🍓 6 eggs
🍓 Sour cream — typically, I use about 1 tablespoon per box, but for this video, I just used what was left in the container, so I didn’t measure it
🍓 Mix everything for about 2 minutes, then bake at 350°F for about 15-18 minutes depending on what type of pan you’re using.

Once the cake is finished, place it straight into the mixer. The steam from the cake helps bind the dough together.

Now, I want to be clear that this is NOT me claiming this is the ultimate or “correct” cake pop recipe. This is simply what I’ve been using and what has been working for me so far. I’m actually experimenting with other recipes too because I want to continue improving my process and my treats!

If I find a recipe that I like better or that works even better for me, I’ll definitely share that with y’all too! 🫶🏽

Starting the week the same way we ended it, sweet! 🍓✨

Around here, we don’t waste inventory, we turn it into opportunities. I had a few fresh strawberries left, so I dipped them and surprised a friend with a special Treat Trap delivery. 💝

There’s nothing better than sharing a few sweet treats, getting honest feedback, and putting smiles on people’s faces. 💕

Who knows... today’s sample might be tomorrow’s favorite order. 😉🍫
