Baby chicks are hatching! If you're interested in purchasing, please let me know. These chicks are for sale as pets, not laying hens; the eggs they lay are small (the eggs pictured are from them, showing the size difference). They have a wonderful temperament - my 3 year-old can hold them and walk around.

The Serama, a breed from Malaysia, is the world's smallest chicken, weighing 13-19 ounces. They're characterized by their compact bodies, short legs, and upright posture. Developed in the 1970s by Wee Yean Een, the breed is a cross between Malaysian and Japanese bantams. Serama chickens are primarily ornamental, making them ideal as pets and companions.
