Hi, I’m Amy. I run a micro-bakery called The Little Making Place, I make things with my hands, and I’m starting over in a little house that needs... everything. This series is the honest, unfiltered tour: the dated kitchen, the retro bathrooms, the big dreams — and building my dream kitchen from the studs up, one room at a time.

Here we go — episode one of Making My Life, a series I’ve been scared to start for a long time.

Meet Opal.
I found her listed on a livestock auction site for $1.
She’s a livestock guardian dog and came with her pup, Tator.
They’re both settling in at Juggling Daisies Ranch and learning that this is home now.
Around here every animal has a story.
Opal and Tator’s story is just beginning.

ANOTHER SURPRISE!!! Mushroom most likely will have her baby(s) today too!!! Christmas themed names? Bug names? Nature? What do you think? I SO wish I was home!!! 🫨

Yesterday, a tiny Christmas miracle arrived on the farm. ✨
Her name is Tinsel — a little early, a little wobbly, and already shining brighter than she knows.

She’s still figuring things out… mom’s milk is slow to come in, so I’m helping bottle feed while her mama nurses her as much as she can.
Two girls raising one tiny holiday baby together. 🤍

Tinsel may be small, but her spirit? Mighty.
Her first day was full of snuggles, soft breaths, brave little steps, and the sweetest attempts at jumps you’ve ever seen.

In a world that feels heavy, I hope she brings you a little light today.
