A bummer of an afternoon at McDonald’s...

​We have a tradition here, whenever we stop for lunch, we ask the manager if it’s okay to treat the staff to some ice cream while we’re on-site. It’s our way of giving back to the people who keep Springfield fed.

​Today, the local manager was all for it and even announced it to the team! Sadly, a regional manager stepped in and asked us to leave the property immediately because "they sell ice cream."
​Even though, we made it clear we do not sell to customers on their lot... This was strictly a "thank you" for the employees. It’s disappointing to see a corporate policy get in the way of a local business trying to brighten a crew's workday.

​We love our Springfield community and our fellow service workers. We’ll keep looking for ways to spread some joy, even if we have to do it from the parking lot next door!
