Today is Holy Thursday

a day that reminds us what true leadership looks like.

Not power. Not pride.
But service.

Jesus sat at the table with His people, broke bread, and then did something unexpected
 He washed their feet. The work no one wanted. The humble, gritty, servant work.

And out here in cattle country
 that hits a little different.

Because we know what it means to show up and serve—
early mornings, late nights, mud on your boots, feed in your hands.
No applause, no spotlight
 just doing what needs to be done.

That’s what faith looks like on the ranch.

It’s checking cows in the dark.
It’s feeding when it’s cold and you’d rather stay in.
It’s caring for what’s been entrusted to you—whether anyone sees it or not.

Holy Thursday reminds us:
the greatest leaders are the ones willing to serve.

So today, as you go about your chores,
remember—you’re not just working
 you’re living out something bigger.

Serve well. Stay grounded. Keep the faith.

First Day of Spring.

Out here it’s more than just a change of seasons.
It’s the start of new life, long days, tired hands, and the quiet responsibility of caring for the cattle and the land God trusted us with.

Every calf that hits the ground is a reminder of His provision.
Every sunrise in the pasture is a reminder of His faithfulness.

Ranching will humble you in a hurry, but it also teaches you to trust in the work, in the process, and most of all in the One who’s in control of it all.

Grateful for this life and the chance to raise cattle, raise kids, and raise our boots in the dirt doing what we love.

There’s something special about moments like this.

Not just watching Shalayne and the DWU Tigers advance to the Sweet 16 of the NAIA National Tournament in Sioux City, but the family that has been behind her every step of the way.

One thing about our family... when one of ours is on the court, the whole crew is in the stands.

From youth games to college tournaments, it’s always been about showing up, supporting each other, and celebrating the journey together.

Small towns raise tough kids.

And today we’re pretty proud of one of ours.

Congratulations to Shalayne and the DWU Tigers on advancing to the Sweet 16 of the NAIA National Basketball Tournament in Sioux City. 🐅🏀

Shalayne, the youngest daughter of Blane & Cindy, has put in the hours, the hard work, and the dedication it takes to compete at this level.
Those same values we believe in every day on the ranch; hard work, perseverance, and faith and they show up just the same on the basketball court.

It’s always special to see kids from our small town communities chase big dreams and represent where they come from.

We’ll be cheering loud for you and the DWU Tigers as you continue the run in Sioux City!

Just when you think spring might finally be here
Mother Nature reminds cattlemen who’s really in charge.

Today’s spring storm was a good reminder that calving season doesn’t care about the calendar.
Snow, wind, mud... you just keep going.

Prayers for warm calves, strong mamas, and tired ranchers getting through another long night in the pasture.

This life isn’t easy
 but we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
