Our Cayuga girls have just started laying for the first time, and look at these stunners. These aren’t ordinary eggs – they look like something carved out of stone, each one a little piece of artwork.
Some come out a deep, velvety black, almost like polished onyx. Others are dusted in silvery speckles, like they’ve been frosted with starlight. No two are ever the same. Early in the season, they’re the darkest, and as the months go by, they lighten into soft grays, blues, and whites.
