BEFORE SHE WAS A HEADLINE SHE WAS A MOTHER OF 5 THAT LOVED HER CHILDREN

35-year-old Shakeela Martin is being remembered as a loving mother of five after she was shot and killed while pumping gas in Ferguson after taking her children to get slushies.

According to loved ones, the family was supposed to move into their new home the very next day, making the situation even more heartbreaking.

Family members say she did not have life insurance, and they are now trying to raise funds to help cover funeral expenses and support her children during this devastating time.

As we previously reported, authorities say the shooting happened near the BP gas station on South Florissant Road. Police stated Shakeela was not involved in the altercation that led up to the gunfire.

Please continue to keep her children, family, and loved ones in your prayers. Nobody deserves this. Once the headlines fade away and this is no longer trending, her babies will still have to live with the trauma of losing their mother in such a horrific way.

If you saw the video, then you know just how heartbreaking it was. Hearing her children screaming “Momma” while she laid there lifeless on the ground is something nobody should ever have to witness.

She didn’t deserve this. 💔 We’re not asking for much but if you have anything to spare let’s help her children
