This week marks the likely cutting off of federal food assistance benefits for many families as part of the ongoing government shutdown.
•
Across the county, people who rely on programs like SNAP are suddenly left wondering how they’ll put food on the table, and that includes families right here in our town!
•
✔️Roughly 3,070 Warren County residents rely on SNAP every month in Warren County which makes up 8.8% of our population.
✔️Nearly half those residents are children depending on those benefits to eat.
•
With this aid now paused, the need for local support is immediate! Our Wright City Community Food Pantry is already seeing the impact…. and they need our help!
•
Most Needed Items:
Pastas, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, soups, mac & cheese, tuna, pancake mix, and other dry goods.
