A few updates on the farm. After a long time waiting we have a Tornjak pup!

We keep hatching out small batches of chicks almost year around. The ones pictured below are 2 barnyard mix (BYM) chicks and 1 Ayam Cenami (AC). The hatching eggs pictured below are pure Silkies and pure Ayam Cenami.

We have one male adult Grand Shepherd available. He's 1.5 years old. Does great protecting sheep and is good around poultry.

Hatching season. We have hatching eggs: BYM Chickens

Some of you might have seen I'm having a rough time trying to incubate my first clutch of the year. I tried a new incubator magicfly that I'm not happy with it stopped working at night and my eggs got cold 75°. I got the incubator turned on running again that morning. They had 12 days left tell hatch. The next night snow kept shutting our houses power off and on that also shut the incubator off. So guess what another night my eggs got cold. At this point I'm thinking none will make it after 2 nights of low temp. I went ahead and switched to my favorite styrofoam incubator that never lets me down incase one was alive. They have now been at a proper incubation temperature for 24 hours. I just candled and I can't believe it but EVERY SINGLE EGG IS ALIVE! They have 1 week left tell hatch and look amazing. 🐣🐥

We have an eruption of chicks!! Chicks everyone. Two day olds to 4 week olds. At least 200 little fluffballs / chicks. All Barnyard mixes. Straight run (i do not have the eye for telling gender at this age). They will be Excellent layers. Eggs colors will be: light brown, brown/pinkish, medium brown, green.
