McDonald's U-Pick Muscadines

McDonald's U-Pick Muscadines Pick your own muscadine vineyard. I have 10 varieties of muscadines. The picking season starts Sept. Muscadines are native to the southeast United States.

They have 40 chromosomes, unlike the other grapes which have 38. They are considered one of the super foods due to the antioxidant content. Picking season begins in September. The vineyard is 5 miles from Sikeston on Hwy ZZ, so message or call for arrangements to pick. $12 per gallon or $3 per pound. A gallon of muscadines will produce enough juice for a batch of jelly with some juice left over fo

r drinking. I encourage pickers to eat some as they're picking to assure that you know what you're picking and don't end up with unripe fruit. If you don't know what muscadines are, come on out and try a few!
