When you want brats but don't want to stand over a hot grill in this humidity, sausage rolls are a winner. These simple beauties cook quickly in the oven and are made with D&M Farms cheese brats (sourced through Fair Shares CCSA), removed from their casing, puff pastry, and an egg wash.

Extra pearl onions hit the brine earlier this week. Rice wine vinegar, water, a bit of sugar, black peppercorn, bay leaf, mustard seed, allspice, and salt. Reaping my rewards from this simple leftover reuse with a Gibson cocktail.

Happy Thanksgiving! We celebrated this year with an early brunch at our place and taking smoked turkey and gravy on the road to a family member's house.
Breakfast sausage rolls with apple honey mustard sauce.
Veggies with hummus and sour cream dips.
Deviled eggs (with caviar, if you'd like).
Avocado butter toasts with tomato relish.
Latkes with horseradish sauce, smoked salmon, caviar, and dill.
Buttermilk brined turkey breasts with herbed butter.
