My peppermint flavor is one step closer to reality! Through some local networking, I was able to secure a supplier for an ingredient I need. High-quality ingredients are important to me, and I am excited for this new business arrangement.

In my family, it’s split. Some say, “Just milk and powder, please.” Others stack marshmallows past the rim.

Personally, I’m in between. If I feel like it, I might add a mini marshmallow or two, but usually I like to drink it plain.

✨ Hot Chocolate Update! ✨

Hello everyone!

I have some very exciting news to share about my hot chocolate business. After many attempts, countless take twos, and lots of note-taking, I’ve officially created a Peppermint Hot Chocolate mix!

This flavor took a lot of patience and tweaking to get just right. I spent time comparing ingredients, adjusting ratios, and making numerous batches until it finally felt perfect. I’ve also had family members taste test it (multiple times 😅), and so far, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, which makes me so excited.

Because some of the ingredients I use aren’t available year-round, this will most likely be a seasonal flavor. That makes it even more special, and something I’m really looking forward to sharing when the time comes.

I’m incredibly excited about how this turned out and can’t wait to share more updates soon. Thank you all for supporting me along the way!

✨ Spotlight of the Week: Moose Piper ✨

Moose is the most important pet in our family. We got him shortly after our dog, Bear, passed away from old age, and Moose helped life feel full again.

Nine years later, Moose is just as adorable as he was when he was a puppy. He loves cuddling, napping, and has a deep, unwavering devotion to peanut butter. He’s getting a little older now and has slowed down over the past couple of years, but that same sweet face still greets me when I walk in the door after work.

My favorite memories with Moose are when he gets the zoomies. We'll let him outside, and with a little encouragement, he will begin to zip around the yard, more than once knocking Caden completely off his feet 😂.

🌟 Spotlight of the Week: Gerty (the Crazy Duck) 🌟

I don’t have many pictures of Gerty, mostly because she hardly ever sits still. Regardless, she is a valued member of our family. Gerty has been with us for about four years. Sadly, shortly after we got her and a few other ducks, all of her companions passed away.

For a long time, she was on her own. Recently, though, we welcomed four new ducks into the family, and now she finally has companions again.

What earned Gerty her “crazy duck” reputation is that, for a couple of years, she tried to hatch rocks.

Some of my favorite things about her are that she’ll wiggle her tail feathers when you say her name (shown in the video below), and that she’ll loudly quack at you from the coop once she’s decided it’s time to be let out.

🌟 Spotlight of the Week: Casper 🌟

Casper is, without question, the most unpredictable animal we own. One moment he’s totally fine, and the next he’s convinced a falling leaf is a personal threat and he’s sprinting for the next county 😂.

Casper and I have grown very close over the past year. Through volunteering at a horse farm down the road, I started taking riding lessons, and we’ve both learned a lot along the way. We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs, but he has never once stopped being a crazy, quirky horse, and I love that about him.

Some of his quirks:
1. Loves horse treats but refuses carrots or apples unless they’re cut into treat-sized pieces. Even then, he's still very picky.
2. Has a classic older-brother relationship with Dusty.
3. Extremely photogenic and very aware of it.

Casper will be turning 15 this year, and I can’t wait to see what the year ahead has in store for us!
