Escape the summer heat! We are conveniently located 15 minutes from the Swift Run Skyline Drive entrance. Capture the scenic views of the Shenandoah Valley, go on a nature hike, join a Skyland Stables trail ride, enjoy a meal at one of the many rustic restaurants, or simply grab a cup of coffee and take in the beautiful views. It’s also the perfect place to cool off in the summer and enjoy the beautiful Fall foliage.

We would like to thank all of our guests who have trusted us, and visited our farm during this trying period. We enjoy preparing the cottage for you, and really want all to relax, enjoy the farm and the Charlottesville area.

The safety and well-being of our farm staff, animals and guests is our top priority, and during this trying period please rest assured that our cottage is scrubbed, disinfected and prepared for each guest.

In addition, we have implemented a mandatory 7 days closed period between rentals. After each guest departs, the cottage sits for seven days before we disinfect and prepare for the next guest.

We take great pride in providing guests with a comfortable home away from home where they can relax, play outside, and enjoy the freedom and beauty of the countryside.

Our cozy two-story cottage with loft is set near our stables providing views of our paddocks and natural pond.

Beds: 2 queen, 1 bunk bed, 1 futon double bed

Stroll around the grounds, take in the stunning mountain views and abundance of wildlife - ideal for bird watching. Interact with our horses and staff, hike the horse trails, play with the barn cats, or simply sit on the wrap-around porch and watch the horses graze in their paddocks, and rest in their stall.

TRAVELING EQUESTRIANS

Stay the night in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! Located in Central Virginia, Still Pond Farm Stables welcomes you and your horse to visit our farm, ride our trails, and rest in the countryside.

Rent our spacious cottage that is set near our stables with trailer parking, or hook up your trailer in a private location near our barn, with a beautiful view of our paddock.

Set up your own horse corral, or rent our corral with provided hay, water, and daily cleaning. Access to an inside and outside wash bay. Riders are invited to enjoy our trails during their stay.

We are located close to route 33, highway 64, and Shenandoah National Park.

Current vaccination records and negative Coggins required. ​2-night minimum cottage rental.

Trailer with hook ups (30amp/120v): $75 per night
Corral rental: $50 for 2-days, 25 per night
