We had a very exciting day at Aspen Creek Homestead!!!

Not only did we go to a swap meet and expand our covey by 60 Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail! We also had 4 chicks hatch in the incubator while we were gone today! We're starting to really feel like a homestead now and are hoping to have eggs available in the next month!

Zippy and friends are starting to show their adult colors! On the left is a male and on the right is a female. Male Rotkopf (Red Head in German) Pansey Coturnix Quail will have a white chest with a red head while the females will have a speckled chest with a brown head.
