Happy 3 years, Grit

Three years ago today I signed the contract on Grit. He was 8 weeks old. It was a decision that came after a lot of thought, a lot of searching, and a lot of trying to find the right road forward after the snarl of round abouts I had been on.

The last three years have not been easy. There have been more than a few life bumps, detours, and moments where simply continuing felt almost impossible, but Grit has stayed steady and grown into such a handsome horse with an incredible brain. He has become everything I had hoped he would so far.

We are still trying to put one foot in front of the other in the hopes that we have at least a few more miles together. I don’t know exactly where it leads, or how long it will be - but I’m grateful for the horse standing with me.
