Over the weekend we welcomed our first Belted Galloway heifer calf onto the farm out of our seasoned cow, Molly. Little Margaret may be the fluffiest calf I have ever laid eyes on! What a cutie! We will be keeping her to further the herd in the future.

We'll be bringing a little something special to market tomorrow! We had a boatload of jalapenos, so these delicious candied jalapenos, aka cowboy candy, were the perfect solution! Forget chicken math! Here on the farm we're dealing with sheep math! A little over 5 years ago we came home with 3 sheep, totally new to this whole shepherding thing. Now we're up to 34, and looking at having 20 ewes lamb in the 2027 season! Gary the ram is about to rejoin the flock for fall breeding to begin. It will be his last season with us, as we'll be looking at adding some new genetics to the flock next year. We're excited for what's ahead!
