Exciting evening here on the farm, our sweet Kune Kune Bingo (AKA: Big Mama) gave birth so far to 7 piglets, 1 unfortunately didn’t make it but she’s still in labor, we’re excited to see what the final number will be ❤️

The progress these sweet rescues have made in 45 short days is absolutely remarkable ❤️ This is what makes it all worth it, we appreciate the continued support from the community and are still accepting monetary donations as well as donations of feed & needed horse supplies. Update on Spot the 20ish year old Red Paint Gelding.

Spot is one of the rescues we took in June 2026 from a seizure case. He originally tested positive for Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis but has completed his medication for that. He has also been diagnosed with Ringbone & has medication to help manage the discomfort. He’s managed to put on some weight as well and also had his teeth floated and hooves trimmed 😊 Spot is an old soul but enjoys being in the pasture with the other horses or being in the barn in front of the fans. He enjoys all the treats and all the lovings from us here on the farm ❤️ Gentle and easy going best describe Spot.

He will be available for adoption at the end of August to find his forever home to live out his golden years 😊

I just wanted to hop on here this morning & say THANK YOU again for the donations we’ve received for the rescue horses! We wouldn’t be able to do this without you 🥰 I will be posting updated pictures/videos this Sunday to share the excitement and progress that’s already being made with these sweet souls 🐴 I will also be uploading our adoption packet to be filled out for anyone that is interested in potentially adopting the horses when they’re ready.

Happy 4th of July 🎆🐎from all of us here at Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue.

The rescue horses that we took in last Sunday are doing well so far & getting used to always having access to fresh water, feed, and green pasture. 💙

We’re so grateful for the donations we’ve received from the mail in checks, GoFundMe, and the Venmo/Zelle. We wouldn’t be able to do this without y’all! The GoFundMe is still active & for anyone that wanted to donate items & not money. We can still use the following.

-Fly Spray
-Fly Masks
-Halters
-ivermectin paste
-apple or peppermint flavored treats

The 3 new rescue horses are settling in nicely and we are slowly already starting to see some personalities with them 🥰

We have created a GoFundMe to hopefully help offset the cost of the vet bills, feed, medication, and other necessities that these horses currently need.

This Sunday, Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue will be welcoming a group of horses that are getting a second chance at life. These horses have faced uncertain futures, and because of your support, they’ll have the opportunity to know safety, proper care, and compassion.

🐴 Community Help Needed 🐴

As a newer and growing horse rescue here in Frederick County VA, we’re working hard to give horses in need a safe place and a second chance. One item that would make a huge difference for us is an operational horse trailer.

If anyone has a horse trailer they would be willing to donate, sell at a low cost, or knows of one available, we would be incredibly grateful. Having reliable transportation is essential for rescuing horses, transporting them to safety, and providing necessary veterinary care.
