Happy 4th of July 🎆🐎from all of us here at Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue.

The rescue horses that we took in last Sunday are doing well so far & getting used to always having access to fresh water, feed, and green pasture. 💙

We’re so grateful for the donations we’ve received from the mail in checks, GoFundMe, and the Venmo/Zelle. We wouldn’t be able to do this without y’all! The GoFundMe is still active & for anyone that wanted to donate items & not money. We can still use the following.

-Fly Spray
-Fly Masks
-Halters
-ivermectin paste
-apple or peppermint flavored treats

The 3 new rescue horses are settling in nicely and we are slowly already starting to see some personalities with them 🥰

We have created a GoFundMe to hopefully help offset the cost of the vet bills, feed, medication, and other necessities that these horses currently need.

🚨 Rescue Transfer Horses arriving this weekend🚨

This Sunday, Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue will be welcoming a group of horses that are getting a second chance at life. These horses have faced uncertain futures, and because of your support, they’ll have the opportunity to know safety, proper care, and compassion.

As a newer rescue, we’re covering many of these expenses out of our own pockets, and we need your help! Donations of any amount will go directly toward:

🐴 Community Help Needed 🐴

As a newer and growing horse rescue here in Frederick County VA, we’re working hard to give horses in need a safe place and a second chance. One item that would make a huge difference for us is an operational horse trailer.

If anyone has a horse trailer they would be willing to donate, sell at a low cost, or knows of one available, we would be incredibly grateful. Having reliable transportation is essential for rescuing horses, transporting them to safety, and providing necessary veterinary care.

Time to meet the owner of Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue, Ashly.

Ashly started horseback riding when she was 9 years old. Due to a horseback riding accident that had her spooked, she took a break and got back to riding at age 13. She’s been back in the saddle since! 🐎 She independently rescued her first horse at age 18 and has continued on. She’s always had the dream of owning and farm & rescue and with the help of her amazing fiancé Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue was born 💙. Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of horses, donkeys, mules, & livestock for those animals to have a safe & peaceful environment to live out their years.

Frostbite Acres Farm & Rescue appreciates any donations we receive for the animals for us to continue to provide the best care possible but also help offset some of the personal cost.

The horse that started it all 🖤🐴

Meet Hawk, (Shivago Black Hawk) Registered Tennessee Walking Horse.

Ashly crossed paths with him in 2015 when a co-worker asked if she would take him due to unexpected life changes. Ashly said yes without even giving it a second thought & the rest is history!

Hawk ended up passing away May 18th, 2017 at the age of 25 from a bad colic episode.

We miss him dearly every day, but find comfort knowing that we’re carrying out the dream that was born during the time that Ashly had him.

Alright y’all to kick off warmer weather ahead of us & Mother’s Day right around the corner.

The adoption fees for our Kune Kune/ Juliana piglets have dropped! Females are $200 and males are $250. Born January 17th,2026 🐷They’ve had iron injections and have been dewormed.
