Planting season has begun! With the cooler temps, planting has begun a little later than usual, but now it's go time. Potato planting started yesterday, and it's quite an operation. It takes 4 support vehicles to keep the planter filled and 2 tractors in front of the planter doing tillage.

Pea pickers moved in today just after lunch, they didn't quite get everything off before the severe storms moved in. I offered them shelter, and they gratefully accepted. Just after 11pm, they got back into their machines and finished our Ellis field, and will be heading to Rosholt to do our 4 other fields

We are looking to hire some more rock pickers, starting this Friday. If you know of any body please have them message me. Must be at least 14 years old and willing to work. We will be picking evenings until school is out, and also Saturdays

Here's the last fill of seed potatoes being planted for the 2021 crop. We finished today, planting a total of 321 acres in a week. Field corn will be wrapping up in a few days and soybean planting will start next week.
