We are BACK in Suffern this Sunday for another “Sagra della Porchetta” and the Suffern Street Fair. This one is rain or shine so I will see you on the street by the Woodfired Oven, with or without an umbrella 😆
Introducing, finally, a new Porchetta sandwich! The OG is also available. It has been so popular and I’m sure it will still be everyone’s favorite but this one is really special to me. Here it is: Hand-Chopped Porchetta topped with local Smoked Mozzarella, “Patan’ Sfruculat” (a particular Irpinia smashed/mashed Potato with garlic and EVO Oil, homegrown Pickled Sweet Peppers in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Flake Salt on Seeded Semolina Bread. I’m eating one now and really loving it.
Also, Scarpariello Wings, Escarole and Beans, Meat Lasagna, Parmigiana, Toasted Hazelnut Dark Chocolate Cookies, Garlic Bread and more! Pre-orders go LIVE on the site at 5:30pm tonight!

Sunday Pop Up Menu is LIVE on the website for online pre-ordering. Everything on the menu will be for pre-order and pickup only. The Cotto 3.0 Sandwich and Homemade Tiramisu by Jessica Palace have been added to the menu, don’t miss this! We will be taking part in the rescheduled Suffern Spirit Day on the street offering walk-up Porchetta Sandwiches only. Should weather mess with the event again we will be inside doing the same. The Suffern Spirit Day celebration is back this Sunday! I’ve got a great menu for you that’s going LIVE for online pre-orders tomorrow and I’ll be on the street making Porchetta sandwiches for walk ups as well. Polpette are back, Woodfired Garlic Buffalo Wings with Gorgonzola dolce dip and Crema di Peperoncino are making their triumphant return. Pasta with Sausage Ragu, Mom’s String Bean Potato Salad, Garlic Bread and more! Place your order starting tomorrow to make sure you get what you want from the menu and come hang out on Lafayette Ave with us and the community 🐷

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since this madness! Last year Eater posted this amazing video showcasing my food and the story of what was going on everyday at Alta Irpinia in Suffern. I was, and still am, blown away by the care taken to show an honest look into my simple love for food and making people happy with it. All of this was ignited by a simple Sunday lunch with Stefania Orrù and her mom and the rest is history, as they say. Stef and the awesome crew is now very much deservedly nominated for a New York Emmy and I really hope they win! Thank you so much for this. Idk what the exact future of the Suffern location is but for now I’m gonna cook there as often as possible, spread porchetta as far as I can, and take you with me to beloved Irpinia next year. I’ll forever be proud of this moment in my life and career. Truly ❤️

Due to the impending storm, Suffern’s event on Lafayette Ave this Sunday is postponed. HOWEVER, the Pork must go on! We are still OPEN from 12-4pm as planned. The website has the menu for pre-orders. The entire menu is ONLY available by pre-order for pickup in-store. Walk-ins will ONLY be accepted for Porchetta & Truffle Mortadella Sandwiches, Taters (precious), and Cookies and will all be in limited amounts. First come, first serve. So, PRE-ORDER online to guarantee you get what you want. No rain can bring us down. See you Sunday!
