We hope everyone had a family filled beautiful Easter!

We sadly had a rough start to our day.....
We lost Daisy this morning. When I finally went to bed at almost 3am, she seemed on the up. She was chewing on her bottle and got some fluids down, up and moving. When we got up at 6am she had zero desire to swallow, couldn't stay warm(still in the warming box), could not stand up or hold her head up any longer.

Losses on a farm are hard. Yes, we do raise animals for meat. But that doesn't ever mean they aren't loved more than anything until there last day here, and even past that. I spent half the morning crying before getting ready to go to Easter celebration today.

If we are quiet for a couple days, I hope you understand ❤️

And now we have a bottle girly.
I did what I could keeping her with mom. Feeding mom milk boosting grain mix, separating so Daisy can have some extra mom time, multiple daily weigh ins. Her siblings just never gave her a shot. They are well over 12 pounds and she is still sitting at 7.6. So I pulled her tonight. Brought her inside to give a bottle and she had a cold tongue. So in a warming box she went, molasses in the cheek and back to colostrum for tonight and tomorrow. She's not weak, thank god, just cold and not suckling yet.
She is definitely here for the princess treatment 👑

Update from yesterday with Daisy.
So far she's staying with mama and not a bottle baby!!
Clay was in the time out pen for maybe 3ish hours yesterday and Daisy gained 6 ounces in that time. From last night to this morning she gained another 7, and thats with all 3 on mama, putting her at 7 which is a huge jump for her!

I let them out of the jug today, and reintroduced with the herd. They are all 3 sticking with mom and doing perfect!

Welp. Last resort over here.
Long story short....
Clay(red ram) is in timeout for being a hog.
That way Clover(solid white ewe), but mainly Daisy(red and white spotted ewe) can catch up.
If she doesn't gain some weight by dinner time, we will more than likely have a bottle baby.
And with Easter this weekend and family plans over an hour away ALL day..... my family may get a suprise when I walk in with a lamb 😅🥴🫣
Wish me luck!

Miss Bluebell delivered twins over night!
A ram and a ewe. When I got to the barn they were all dried, standing and eating. Perfect 🙌🏼

No babies yet from Bluebell!Any guess on when she will deliver and how many?! 🤗I'm guessing...... Tuesday and twins 💙🩷

So friends with sheep... I know the jist of lambing(assuming it's similar to kidding)
I got a bagged up mama, how full do they get 👀 I'm trying to judge if we have a couple days or weeks left before lambing.
Do teats fill up a crap ton days before? Her bag is full enough to have the line down the middle, and her sides are sunken in. Not eating a ton like the others. She's breathing heavy all day. Seems very distracted or uncomfortable to me, but... I've only had her since Sunday also. I don't think she is in labor, she's not uncomfortable to the point of getting up and down and biting her sides or anything.
