Thanks to everyone who came to Rooted Yakima Valley yesterday for the release of the first WETWOLF fresh hop infusion of the 2026 harvest. The fresh Centennial from CLS Farms showed off bright tropical fruit and citrus you wouldn’t expect. We’re looking forward to doing it again.

Time for a light teaser with COLLAPSING NEW PEOPLE hazy pale ale, brewed in collaboration with our friend Chad from Solaris Beer & Blending in California. This hazy drinks light and silky from flaked oats and chit malt (a low-conversion barley malt with plenty of protein content) that we hopped with a compliment sandwich of NZ Riwaka, Krush Hyperboost & Yakima Chief Hops cryo fresh Citra & Mosaic and 11lbs of Nectaron for that stoney fruit flavor. Bitterness is very mellow on this softy, drinking more like a tropical fruit fizz.
It’s delicious, and surprisingly different from our previous hazy pales.
COLLAPSING NEW PEOPLE hazy pale ale is available today in cans to-go at the Varietal taproom. Draft will follow shortly.

Last weekend Isidro flew to San Francisco for a unique festival of fermentation, serving some of our wild ales and IPA to the people. Thanks to him and some Sunnyside natives they served all our beer out and introduced Varietal. Thanks to everyone at Barebottle Brewing Company for making us welcome and helping us out! 💚✌️
