🐔🤣 HOW WE ACCIDENTALLY STARTED A CHICKEN CULT 🤣🐔
Remember back when my husband made me mad? So naturally, I handled the situation like a mature Christian woman...

I went and bought baby chicks out of spite. 😂

(Please don't ask how revenge chicks fix marital disagreements. The math is complicated.)We used to be a normal family.Everything was going great.

We had a rooster.
We had some hens.
Everyone knew their job.
Then we hatched our first flock of baby chicks. 🐣
my husband, being the wonderful enabler that he is, built me a bigger chicken coop.

Then a coyote came and snatched our rooster. Awww he was a great guy 😭🐓

Now most people would say,
"Well, that's sad."

Not me.

I immediately went into full-blown Mother Hen Emergency Mode™ and gathered every fertile egg I could find. Kind of like having a baby after the age of 40 (which i also did)

Without consulting my husband...or making a plan...
Without doing any math...math sucks right?
so
I stuffed 20 eggs into the incubator. 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚
Because I didn't want them to go to waste. Its a valid concern BTW

Now there's a very real possibility that we're about to hatch 20 more baby chicks.

Meanwhile, my husband is over here building coops, improving coops, and talking about coops.

Sir.

Every time you build a bigger coop, I hear:
"Honey, please buy more chickens."

So let's review:
😡 Bought revenge chicks.
🐣 Hatched baby chicks.
🐓 Lost the rooster.
🥚 Filled the incubator with 20 eggs.
🔨 Husband built another coop.

And somehow, I'M the one being called the crazy chicken lady when the chicken population doubles.
At this point, we're only one emotional support chicken away from needing zoning approval.

Pray for my husband.
Actually...
Pray for the incubator. 🤣🐔🥚

Our Rooster gave up a good fight, all his hens are safe and accounted for but unfortunately Roosters do not run and hide like the hens do, they stay and fight…and the coyote got the last laugh 😭😭😭 our blink caught him jumping the fence with him in his mouth

There’s something deeply humbling about watching a chick hatch 🐣

From the moment an egg is laid, God designed every detail with purpose. Inside what looks so simple and fragile, life is already forming exactly as He intended. Tiny hearts begin beating. Feathers develop. Instincts are placed inside them before they ever see the world.

And then, at just the right time, that little chick begins fighting its way out of the shell on its own.

No one teaches it how to peck.
No one teaches it how to walk.
No one teaches it how to search for food and water.

God already placed those things within it.

Watching this incubation journey from start to finish has been such a reminder that creation is not random. Life is precious. Intentional. Designed by the hand of God Himself.

It amazes me that something so small can survive with so little help from us because the Creator already equipped it with what it needed to live.

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…”
— Genesis 1:31 KJV

These little chicks may seem ordinary to some people, but to me they are another testimony of God’s wisdom, care, and creation. Every hatch reminds me how miraculous life truly is. 🤍

We’re putting together a short video showing our entire incubation process from start to finish — including the incubator, brooder setup, feeders, supplies, and more for anyone wanting to start their own hatching journey at home 🐥
