Coming out of winter it’s critical to clean your bottom boards. Debris is breeding ground for small hive beetles which you do not want established this early in the year. It doesn’t need to be perfect but give the bees something to work with.

Finally used a warm day to pull frames in every hive and found slabs of brood in some places. I better be ready for March splits! Everyone gets a pollen and fondant patty! I’ll begin staging deeps and mediums next week. Top quality, STRONG, Amish made boxes.
