Another Arizona Spring Training Favorite or any meal actually, Postino's at the Peoria Sports Complex and Arrowhead area. It's a casual yet hip and warm take on a wine cafe. Set in a modern and upbeat eclectic setting, Postino's provides the perfect balance of drink and food to create the perfect harmony of happiness for your tastebuds. The menu is a brilliant symphony of savory and sweet creations that are small or more substantial portions for any meal. We went there for brunch and were blown away by the fresh tasting plates and the "team" service. We had a few different servers visit us to ensure everything was excellent. It took some getting used to, but having different servers touching our table was fun to interact, hearing their suggestions, and intriguing conversations. We felt very "loved". Even if you don't like baseball, we highly recommend Postino's. They have locations in a few different states, so it's not just an Arizona thing.

Spring Training in Phoenix? Check out Blanco Cocina near the Peoria Sports Complex where the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres call home for baseball spring training.

Blue Sushi Grill in Surprise, Arizona. Sushi with a modern flare. We visited this restaurant in the new Village at Prasada area in West Phoenix. They have multiple locations in different states, but we really enjoyed the location in Surprise as a nice meal in between shopping and running day to day errands. The flavors on the menu have both traditional and new takes on sushi classics. The restaurant has great ambiance and the service was excellent. Our server made a few suggestions...including a roll that tasted like a cheeseburger even though it was vegan. We highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area or want something different in the West Valley.

Looking for a unique meal in Scottsdale? Visit Volanti at the Scottsdale Airport for an unexpected culinary adventure. Located on the 2nd floor of the Scottsdale Airport Aviation Business Center, this hidden gem of a restaurant overlooks the runway with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu consists of both familiar and exotic flavors from around the world. Brunch on the weekends is fantastic with Latin inspired dishes along with traditional brunch. Lunch and dinner do not disappoint either. We have been here 3 times already and plan on introducing more friends to this unique dining experience where you get to see planes landing and takeoff while enjoying a delicious meal.

Exciting news!!! We have booked our first Disney Cruise. We are looking forward to experiencing the magic on a Disney Cruise and comparing it to other cruiselines we have sailed with.

We booked our Disney Vacation at Sea with Emily at Miller Magical Travel. She handled all the details and arrangements for our 4 Night "Halloween on the High Seas" cruise to the Bahamas. We highly recommend Emily for all your travel needs, especially all things Disney. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and most important...very caring and dedicated to making we have the best vacation possible.

More details as we get closer to our adventures on the "Disney Dream" sailing to Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Our last Christmas gift to ourselves came late this year. But, we are so happy we finally got our ElixSea Wines delivered to our home this week from Spain. This wine has been aged in the deep depths of the Mediterranean sea and allowed to age 6 months in the cool and gentle sway of the ocean somewhere off the coast of Spain. During the aging process under water, marine life will use the wine cages as artificial reefs hence the growth, shells, and barnacles on the bottles. This wine is unique and difficult to get in the US. I recently discovered a way in December 2024 to have it shipped to the United States. Kelly Hoang and I first enjoyed this wine during a special interactive dining experience called "360 Dining" on the Princess Cruises ship named Discovery. After the cruise ended, the memory of the wine haunted us which led to booking more cruises giving us a chance for the 360 experience and this wine again. Obviously that was not sustainable, so we are looking forward to enjoying this wine again. Cheers!

Chattanooga Chew Chew...Make sure to stop by Puckett's Restaurant in Chattanooga, Tennessee along the riverfront. A cozy place gleaming with Southern Hospitality. The food was made from scratch and you can tell they put some heart and soul with the flavors of home. We missed the live music, but I'm sure it just adds to the spirit of family and community coming together to have good eats and good times. It's near the riverfront and the aquarium.
