Last year we had a Heifer (female that’s never given birth) named Nina that ran into birthing complications. We intervened the best we could but lost the calf😢. Unfortunately, in this industry the stakes are too high and costly. If a heifer doesn’t have a successful birth it’s a common practice they’re viewed as an unsuccessful expense and shipped off to auction or processed as beef. We decided it was our fault, not hers. Nina got pregnant a second time but yet again she had birthing complications. With a little more experience, we saved her calf and she’s now a proud, healthy, first time momma of Nevaeh! She gave us a second chance and luckily, this time, we did not let her down. 🤠❤️🐮

Mikey often asks for Bob! So we had to pay him a visit and uncle Bob brought him to pasture to talk with his cows and probably share that old time wisdom! Hopefully Mikey was listening. Finished the day picking eggs and trail ride. Good day for the little man, and certainly for Bob too!
