Yesterday I got the privilege of staying home with my animals to wait for the HVAC company and I wanted to work on a project I had been thinking about for a while. The chickens have been using one singular crate to have eggs for the past couple of weeks and I wanted to make sure that they had more crates so that they could have more eggs. So I walked to our greenhouse that’s in the middle of our yard, that’s where our other crates are. I went inside and grabbed a stack of five of them without taking them apart. I went to walk out the door and all five of them crashed to the ground. At that point, it was 100° outside and I really hated to have to bend over to pick up all five of those crates. But as I look down, I seen that one of those crates (that was right beside my head just moments ago) had a wasp nest in it with lots of wasp in the nest. As I look down at that crate, I thanked God that he allowed those crates to fall.Could you have imagined if that crate would’ve stayed up beside my head and all of those wasp would’ve got angry. I probably would’ve ended up in the emergency room, but because God is in the simple details and he was taking care of me, those crates fell and I was able to see why they fell.I know in the Bible it may seem that miracles are only big things. And if you look in every story, there is a reason for all the things that took place. There is a reason he chose two animals of each kind to go with Noah on the ark, there is a reason he wanted a particular type of wood on the boat, there is a reason he wanted it to be a certain height and a certain width and there was a reason all those people rejected Noah’s ideas. He had a reason for all of those things . This may have not been me building a giant ship to further God’s kingdom, but I know God was with me while I was taking down those crates. There are many times in life where I know he is there and that was the one that I got to see yesterday.

Welcome to our family farm! We’re Shawn and Rebecca Jackson, proud owners, lifelong South Carolinians, and Army veterans. Together with our five amazing children, we’re building a life rooted in faith, hard work, and a love for the land.

Our journey began with just five baby chickens and a few plants in the backyard. From that we were able to create our little dream that is growing into a thriving homestead filled with fruits, vegetables, and a variety of farm animals.

We both pour our hearts into growing food, raising animals, and teaching our kids the value of honest work and simple living. We’re passionate about sharing our farm life with others and preserving the beauty of rural living, one season at a time.

Our farm is called TAE, which stands for Through Adam’s Eyes. It’s more than a name, it’s a reminder of how we choose to live and see the world. Just like Adam in Genesis, we are experiencing the beauty of God’s creation as if for the very first time. With every new planting, birth, and harvest, we’re reminded to approach life with fresh eyes, deep faith, and gratitude for all the Lord provides.

Here on our farm, every day is an opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and as a family. Thank you for being part of our journey.
