Silence

The sun rises over a field of apparent quiet on a Tuesday It is easy to forget silence exists or what it really means, even if most of the noise is in my head and created by words, images, news, concerns, planning, existential concerns. The true impulse of creativity at times seems far off like a distant memory. I can sit here and see manifestations of it in my paintings, pottery, poems....

One summer the thick plastic sheathing pipe for electrical conduit melted into crazy noodles on the walls and ceiling, stretching all the wires, that had to be replaced, this time in metal piping....

We will be at the Elmhurst Farmer's Market at York and Vallette tomorrow from 7-1. The MICROGREENS harvest is great this week. Very lush and healthy. We will have "Purple Mix," "Spicy Mix" and Micro Basil. Delicious!!! A few basil plants and some small parsley and cilantro plants also. I have one tomato plant left unsold, but it is so beautiful I might add it to the 150 or so I have growing at the farm. Come see if it makes the trip to town.

Great organization and leader - our farm is a happy participant in this group.
