Meet Z. You can barely see her but she has a white Z pattern on her face. Shes one of my favorite commercial cows because the only reason you know about her is her face marking. She always calves early, always weans above average weight calf and always breeds back. Has no docility issues and really never notice her (other than her face). Shes the ranchers dream

Honestly I don’t know much about this replacement heifer. Don’t know her sire or dam. Just said “yeah she’ll work” at weaning. But this evening in the pasture, I noticed how much I like about her. I think this is the point you realize your breeding program is working: when even the middle tier becomes something you admire.
