One of the best things about getting to work early, is being able to watch the sunrise. It was so picturesque today it almost seemed to not be real. No filter needed for a sunrise this beautiful.

It was a great birthday yesterday and my wife spoiled me by letting me buy a half share of beef! I am very happy that we came across on social media. They were fantastic to work with and had a super fast turnaround from deposit to pickup. Made it even better that I was able to take it home on my birthday! If you are looking for good, local beef swing by and check them out. They have some really nice stuff in their shop ready to go, or even invest in a 1/4, 1/2, or full beef share.

It was a solo cook today, but it felt great to get back out and compete. Really good showing after a lot of time off. Congrats to all who heard their names called, and it was great to meet some new friends today. Hoping to be able to get more cooks in next year for sure!

Broke the C4 out of hibernation and took my first stab at some Greek food. It turned out so great and will be part of our rotation!

This is becoming my favorite meat to smoke and eat. It’s fault quick and easy, full of flavor, and a crowd pleaser. Pulled ham with a bourbon peach sauce mixed in at the end.

Tried out this week for lunch. Liked it so much, we went for a return trip the next day. Highly recommend the pepper jack cheese bomb, although everything else was great too.

I was lucky enough to have a day with just my beautiful wife. Sometimes life gets crazy and I forget about the little things. We enjoyed the Jazz game followed by dinner at an Italian place around the corner. She is the best for dealing with me all this time!
