WHY THE WASHINGTON NAMES?

🌲 NO, WE DON'T JUST THROW DARTS AT A MAP OF WASHINGTON.

Although… that might actually be a pretty entertaining way to name beer. 😂

If you've spent any time looking at the Evergreen tap list, you've probably noticed something:

Every one of our beers has a connection to Washington State.

Places. People. History. Legends. And occasionally some of the wonderfully weird stuff that makes this state ours.

That's not an accident.

When we became Evergreen State Brewing, we wanted the name to mean something. So rather than giving our beers random clever names, we decided every beer we create would tell a little piece of Washington's story.

Some stories are beautiful.

Some are historic.

Some are bizarre.

And some make you wonder what exactly was going on in Washington at the time. 😂

We'll be sharing more of those stories right here.

Because apparently drinking the beer wasn't enough. Now we're assigning homework. 🍺📚

We’re taking Evergreen State Brewing out of the taproom and into the park today for Pour in the Park!

Come find us, say hi, and grab a pour. We’ll be out there doing what we do best — pouring Washington-inspired beer and probably talking way too much about it. 😂🍻

Because apparently we CAN leave the taproom occasionally. Who knew?

Because “Really Pretty State With Questionable Weather Brewing Co.” was apparently too long for the sign. 😂

But seriously... Washington isn't just where we brew. It's the whole idea behind Evergreen.

Every single beer we make is connected to something right here in Washington State.

A place. A person. A landmark. A piece of history. If it's on our tap list, there's a Washington story behind the name.

And we figured it was probably time we started telling you those stories.

This Sunday we'll be pouring alongside other local breweries at Pour in the Park, and we can't wait to get some Evergreen beer into the hands of people who haven't discovered us yet.

Well… Tacoma definitely understood the assignment. 😂

Yesterday’s Vibe Bingo packed the house at Evergreen State Brewing, and THIS is what we love seeing our taproom used for.

Good people. Lots of laughs. A little friendly competition. Food and drinks flowing. And a whole lot of energy filling the room.

A huge thank you to Tacoma Urban League Guild, Vibe Bingo, and everyone who came out and spent their Sunday with us. We loved having you!

And if you looked around yesterday thinking, “Wait… Evergreen can hold THIS many people?”

Yep. 😏

Turns out our waterfront taproom is pretty good at throwing a party.
