The garden is slowly saying goodbye to another season. 🍂🌼

Some things, like my dahlias, are putting on their best show yet, while others are beginning to fade away for the season. The weeks are counting down until the garden goes to sleep for winter, so I’m soaking up every last bloom, every bit of color, and every little moment of magic while I still can. 🥹✨🌻

There’s something so bittersweet about a fall garden. 🍁

Nestle Crunch trend… but make it Spooky Season.

I fear decorating for Halloween has become my entire personality. 🎃👻🦇

My 12-year-old next-door neighbor told me I have the coolest house on the block, anddddd I think that might be the highest compliment I’ve ever received. 🥹🧡

Every year, my goal is to make our house look like 90’s nostalgia Halloween itself moved in, and every year I somehow convince myself we need MORE pumpkins, MORE lights, MORE spooky details. 😂

I don’t think I’ll ever be finished decorating, and quite frankly, I don’t want to be. 🕯️🎃🍂✨

Seriously, gardening was the best thing I ever did for myself. When I started four years ago, I had no idea what I was doing.

I didn’t plant from seed.
I didn’t know about soil.
I only bought starts from big box stores.
I didn’t know there were so many different varieties of things you could grow.
I didn’t know about hardiness zones.

I just WENT for it. And guess what? I LOVED it. Shocker. 🤭 and even through all the plant fails and the pests and weird plant disease, I couldn’t wait to do it again the next year.

This was my favorite year yet and I guarantee every year to come will also be my favorite year yet.

So do yourself a favor, get your hands on the soil and give gardening a try. 🫶🌼✨

Wishing you a month filled with your favorite spooky movies, endless Reese’s pumpkins, foggy mornings, glowing jack-o’-lanterns, haunted houses, ghost stories, creaky floorboards, flickering candles, skeletons in unexpected places, bowls overflowing with Halloween candy, midnight horror marathons, PUMPKIN PATCHES, things that go bump in the night, and that silly spooky feeling that there might just be a little magic in the air. 🦇👀

May your October be strange, spooky, nostalgic, and wonderfully haunted. 👻🎃🕸️

the hardest part of gardening is trusting that the empty seasons are part of the magic too 🌱✨

It’s incredible to think that this is only a few months apart and that soon it will return to where it started. But I can’t wait for all the 2027 garden plans to come. 🙊🌈🧚
