It’s slow this season for the farm! Just feeding the girls, maintenance, and getting ready for foaling and breeding season in the spring. It will be here before you know it! Who is everyone breeding to in 2027?

We are so thankful! We’ve gotten 3.5” of rain this week!

We have partnered with Happy Heifer Designs for some Merch. I have added a link to the store on our page. We have hats, shirts, hoodies, and jackets. I think I may do a giveaway soon if I have enough interest!

ALL profit from these products goes directly back to our farm to support what we do. Thank you everyone!

Don’t forget where you started ❤️ You see that jar on my dresser? It’s hard to see but it’s labeled “horse training”

When I first bought Taylor, I put every extra dollar I had in that jar until I had enough to send her. That’s where it all began and I keep the jar as a memory of where it all began.

Now we have been to a show, bought another mare, had two babies born and now have two more due. Very blessed to be able to live this life and I’m so grateful for everyone along the way that has made it possible.

We are still looking at ways to improve, upgrade, and expand. Couldn’t do any of it without our good Lord and our support system.

Y’all have a great week! Happy Sunday!

Should I start doing this every time she does it?

I would love to take the time to introduce my little family after reaching over 1k followers! These are the faces behind Cactus R!

My name is Mackenzi. Wife and mother of 3 beautiful children! All of us are involved on our little farm. I attended Texas Tech university and judged on the collegiate horse judging team. That is where my love for cowhorse began and I met all the people that led me to where I am now in the horse industry. I’m so grateful for all the friendships Iv made that got me here.

We live in New Home Texas and are a very small horse breeding operation. We are just now getting started and building our program. We unfortunately lost our first home bred foal this year to a freak pasture accident. However, we have two babies on the way for 2027.

We are so grateful for the follows! Thank you everyone!
