Been a long time since I posted! We had LA a little over a month ago and it’s finally time I made this post and gave my girls the credit they deserve 💓. I had such a wonderful time hosting and I’m so glad so many wonderful farms and friends got to join us! We had 8 girls appraised with 4 of them being homebred‘s.
Five year olds ,4th Freshening
Lily Hill SD Malibu EVVE 90 also got an E in head,back, and rear legs. If you know me and my goats you know about Malibu, this girl is my heart goat. She is what I call a nicely balanced doe, everything just fits so nicely. Not the fanciest goat in the world but she’s my perfect girl 💓.
Double Durango Mocha Frap EEEG 88 also got an E in head, back, and rear legs . You want a nice blend of dairy and strength? Mocha has it 💅🏻.Luckily this LA she fit by a hair underneath the measuring stick.
Three year olds, 2nd Freshening
SweetGum Acres Tequila Sunrise VVVE 89 also got an E in back and rear legs. My first Malibu daughter and almost a copy paste of her dam. We almost lost this girl as a yearling to Polio and I’m so proud to see how far she’s come since then. She is also my first homebred to score a 89 and a E in mammary.
SweetGum Dot Dot Dash VEVV 89 also got a E in back and rear legs. This girl has some serious body depth. She’s a goat that doesn’t always catch your eye right away but when you get your hands on her you fall in love. My second homebred with a 89! Two in one la I honestly am still so shocked and proud of them!
Two year olds, 1st freshening
Lily Hill MJ She’s A Rainbow VVAG 83. Rainy didn’t bag up as much as I thought she would but I’m still happy with her score. The appraise loved how dairy she is and I’m excited for her second freshening next year.
SweetGum Acres AM Lemon Drop GVGG 83 E in rear legs and a 43 in rear udder height! Another Malibu daughter and a wonderful example of knowing your lines. Malibu kids age like fine wine they don’t really start fill out till they hit three. Excited to see how she matures going into next year.
SweetGum Acres AM Strawberry Marg VGGG Lemons full sister! These  girls go almost hand in hand with traits. I coudnt pick between them last year so I kept both like I said I love Malibu kids!
Yearling 1st Freshening
Drewem JP Mayday VGGV 85 E in rear legs with a 42 in udder height! Mayday kidded earlier this year with a good size stuck buckling which caused a hematoma that resulted in a horrible prolapse. The fact that she survived it and stayed in milk is a miracle. This little doe is a trooper and I could not be more proud of her. She has such a lovely general appearance. She won’t be bred for next year so she has more time to heal up.
